Road Trip part 2 entering Colorado!

After the national parks in Utah we headed for Colorado.






We stopped in Grand Junction where Colin served part of his mission. We tried to go to a restaurant he recommended but it was only open for breakfast and lunch and it was almost 5 p.m. After driving for 2 1/2 days we were ready for an early night so headed for our hotel in Glenwood Springs.

What a beautiful place. We stopped for the night at a Marriott next to the Colorado River which was full to over flowing. We watched as guys surfed on the river near the bridge. Crazy!

 They have famous hot springs and a lift to a cave and other amusements that had a spectacular view. We had lunch at the top and had a wonderful relaxing morning before heading on our journey.

On Saturday we decided to get a new phone, well I was going to get a new phone but then we got such a good deal Bob decided to get the new HTC 3D too! Well that was an adventure....his contacts didn't transfer so we spent from 7.p.m. until 11 a.m. the next morning wondering if he was out of business or not. Scary, scary. A tender mercy from the Lord that they hadn't wiped the phones in the morning and everything was able to be restored. Moral of the story...

Next we surprised Sam and Lanita at church. We got there a little early (not as early as we planned because of the phones) and were able to visit for a few minutes before church and after Sacrament meeting. I also got to meet the daughter of my cousin Ken Crook who is in his ward. Fun stuff...no pictures unfortunately because it was church! It was a nice visit even if it was short but we had to head to the Business Conference that was the point of the whole road trip! On to the Broadmore!
